A Little About My Life...

"Life is an Adventure and Everyday Holds New and Exciting Experiences that will make you Understand more about Yourself"

After graduation I started my own business. Not knowing where this path would take me, I set out to make a dent in the Graphic Design field and leave a lasting impression on everyone I met. Ha... easier said than done. Business is like a game. You either have to play the game good and be able to survive through the tougher times or you just gotta get out of it. But where do you find the balance between your business life and your personal life?

Doing what I love and making the impression on those I have worked with was the easy part for me. Finding the balance between playing the game and relaxing was the toughest.

I came to find that most people I met had there own agenda. I've attended numerous Networking Events that for the most part lead me to the same conclusion, most people will say one thing to your face and then do something completely different later. I, of course, found this out the hard way.

It actually really bothered me at first how two faced some people could be... I didn't understand this because I have always been a person of my word. I am honest and gentle about everything. Sometime I think that it was this gentle manor that allowed for such people to distract me. But now that I have a little more experience... I have come to find I can spot one of those people a mile away.

Now I am not saying that everyone I have met is like this... oh no... actually I have met some wonderful people. But when you can read a person and tell that they are not sincere at all but merely putting on an act... thats when you know the person is fake.

In my quest for more personal time I started looking around to see what my options were. I love exercising and outdoor activities. Hiking is one of my personal favorites, but you'll find that out later once I start my hiking adventures again (it is just to cold outside for me right now). I go to the gym regularity and found myself falling bored of the stair master, bike and elliptical trainer... thus I started going to the aerobics classes offered and I am telling you it was one of the best moves I have made. It is great... it is always something different and it is always challenging for me because I push myself to my limits. By summer time I will have the buns, abs and thighs of steel that I have always wanted.

Yoga is starting to become a big part of my life too. I met this wonderful woman, Joy, who has been practicing the art of Yoga for years. I find that starting off in the beginner classes and getting a solid introduction will give me a great foundation so I can practice on my own while taking in a class a week to hopefully learn more to add to my practice. I can't wait until the summer time comes along cause I can just picture myself outside on my balcony early in the morning... the birds singing and the peacefulness of nature all around me.

I started volunteering a bit. I absolutely love the Theater and found out that I can volunteer to usher and take tickets and then I can sit in and watch the shows for FREE! I thought this was a pretty good deal. I also volunteer with Junior Achievement to help bring kids around to thinking about their futures more while they are younger, so they have a chance to set their education up the way that will be most beneficial to them. I'm also considering volunteering at the hospital, but I have to look into it more due to my scheduling of business meetings and such I might not always get to have the free hours.

So the love of my life, John, is getting his wings right now and I miss him so much... we get to talk and see each other everyday through web cam, but I can't wait to be able to see him again and actually be able to grab a hold of him and give him a big hug. Hugs can fix a lot you know. I go out in March to visit. It should be a good trip... it will give me a bit of a break from the business life... although I've considered meeting some people out there and possibly making some contacts.

I plan on marrying him someday... but you'll definitely hear more about that later on...
